Dr. Kanwarjeet Singh (“Rocky”) brings over 25 years of experience in veterinary care. He earned his Bachelor of Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry (B.V.Sc & A.H.) from Punjab Agricultural University in 2001. Throughout his career, Dr. Rocky has worked with a wide range of animals, including dogs, cats, dairy animals, horses, and poultry, developing strong expertise in both companion and large animal medicine.
He moved to Canada in 2020 and worked as a Veterinary Assistant at Mainland Animal Emergency in Surrey while continuing his studies toward Canadian licensure. After obtaining his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) license in 2021, he began practicing as an Emergency veterinarian at Mainland Animal Emergency Clinic and has also served as a locum veterinarian at several pet hospitals across the Lower Mainland. He particularly enjoys companion animal medicine and surgical procedures, and values thorough discussions with pet owners to ensure a clear understanding of their pet’s condition and care.
In January 2026, he founded Elgin Park Animal Hospital, where he provides compassionate, high-quality care for pets. Dr. Rocky is skilled in routine medical procedures as well as emergency cases, ensuring pets receive prompt and effective treatment when they need it most.
Dr. Rocky is blessed with a supportive family. His wife manages the home, his daughter is pursuing her undergraduate studies at University of British Columbia, and his son is currently attending veterinary school as he works toward his own graduation. In his free time, he enjoys traveling and exploring new places, as well as swimming.
